Job Summary

The Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychological Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our student support services, you will be responsible for providing high-level psychological support services to students, schools, and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation to schools, healthcare providers, and families on evidence-based best practices for student wellbeing and development.
  • Develop and implement programs, procedures, and policies that foster resilience in children and young people to support their educational needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and school leadership to ensure holistic care and support for students.
  • Provide authoritative professional advice on student wellbeing issues and support the coordination of student support services.
  • Contribute to the professional development of other team members and support the growth of the student support services team.

Requirements

  • A graduate or post-graduate degree in Psychology or equivalent.
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
  • A valid Working with Children Check and full Drivers' License is required for this position.
