Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Transportation Leader to join our team at Senior Living Communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and implementing automotive transportation schedules for residents at all levels of care within our campus environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain HIPAA standards and confidentiality of resident and employee medical information.
  • Drive residents off the community's premises for scheduled outings and appointments.
  • Participate in meetings to develop social and recreational activities, supporting the Member Services Department.
  • Communicate daily with the Concierge or Social Director to learn of current and future transportation routes and appointments.
  • Assist residents in and out of company vehicles.
  • Prioritize times, routes, and needs to accommodate the greatest number of residents.
  • Help residents to and from bus, van, or car and into the destination place if needed.
  • Participate in scheduled activities and encourage resident participation.
  • Report any problems with residents to the Social Director or Healthcare Administrator upon return to the campus.
  • Report any traffic violations committed during working hours immediately to the supervisor.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of all safety procedures pertaining to vehicles and residents, utilizing knowledge in times of emergency, breakdowns, or accidents.
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance on vehicles at appropriate time intervals, keeping motor vehicle maintenance records and sharing any problems or adverse vehicular situations with the Director of Facilities Services.
  • Maintain power on the cell phone assigned to the position or car and keep the phone at hand during working hours.

Requirements:

  • High school graduation or GED required.
  • Transportation experience required.
  • Two years' experience in a similar transportation position desired.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record as specified by the company and by the company's automobile insurance carrier.
  • Ability to be CPR certified at the company's expense.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to assist residents in and out of transportation vehicles.
  • Must be free of diseases that can be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilities during the stage of communicability unless the associate can be given duties that minimize the likelihood of transmission.
  • May be exposed to minimal to moderate noise and exposure to blood and/or body fluids.
