We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CDL driver to join our team at Freedom Pointe at The Villages. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to various activities and appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities- Transport residents to scheduled activities and appointments
- Communicate with the Transportation Coordinator to ensure smooth scheduling and coordination
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs to the Plant Director and/or Assistant Plant Director
- Work collaboratively with other drivers to provide exceptional service to residents
- Adhere to The Cypress Club Code of Conduct and report any suspected violations
- Participate in safety programs and comply with company policies and procedures
- Valid CDL driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Simple arithmetic skills
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to sit in a vehicle for up to 6 hours per day, stoop, bend, stretch, and squat to load and unload cargo areas. Perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage and resident groceries. May be exposed to the elements (rain, snow, cold, heat) for short periods of time.
