Position Overview

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for addressing inquiries and providing assistance related to HSMC and Client computer systems, personal computers, and telecommunications systems. This role involves identifying issues, troubleshooting, and offering guidance to users. The technician will collaborate with other IT departments to resolve complex problems as needed and will configure and support enterprise-level software and hardware solutions utilized across the organization(s).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for users within Microsoft's cloud services.
  • Independently assess, troubleshoot, and resolve various hardware, software, and telecommunications challenges.
  • Monitor the antivirus status of desktop computers and address issues as they arise.
  • Create and maintain documentation of IT procedures for both IT staff and end users.
  • Provide assistance to staff regarding all company-supported applications, both in person and via phone.
  • Set up and install personal computing devices.
  • Travel to remote locations as required.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A two-year certificate from a college or technical institution; or a minimum of five years of experience in IT desktop support; or three years of experience in IT within the healthcare or education sectors.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to meet specific vision requirements, including close-range, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for manipulation, and reach with arms.
  • Fine motor skills for tasks such as keyboarding.
