Responsibilities:


This role involves supervisory duties in the management and administration of a storeroom; responsible for overseeing and/or engaging in the receipt, documentation, storage, and distribution of a diverse range of materials, equipment, and supplies, including specialized items; maintaining accurate records and accountability for inventory; servicing and maintaining equipment; and recommending the procurement of supplies and equipment. This position supervises the verification of incoming materials for quantity and quality against invoices or purchase orders, reporting any discrepancies to a supervisor; issues supplies based on approved requisitions; prepares and maintains a continuous inventory system for all storeroom and laboratory supplies and equipment; supervises and/or participates in the upkeep and management of storeroom and supplies and equipment; organizes, packages, and coordinates the transport of all stored goods and materials; ensures regular and timely attendance; ability to adhere to the defined work schedule and perform overtime as necessary; executes related duties as required.


Qualifications:


A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with two years of clerical experience, one of which must have been in receiving, storing, shipping, and issuing inventory and/or laboratory items.


Specific positions may necessitate the possession of a valid driver's license and the maintenance of a driving record that meets the insurance coverage requirements of the University of South Alabama.
