Innova Solutions is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Specialist II / Clinical Laboratory Technician II for the 1st Shift.
Job Type: Full Time, Contract
Duration: 06+ Months
Location: Mobile, AL
Job Responsibilities:
- Specimen Evaluation: Determine specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria.
- Technical Procedures: Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Instrumentation: Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper functionality.
- Decision Making: Make technical decisions and solve testing problems.
- Reagent Preparation: Prepare, test, and assess new reagents or controls.
- Test Results: Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
- Quality Control: Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Supply Management: Replenish testing bench supplies as needed.
- Specimen Processing: Assist with specimen processing when required.
- Work Environment: Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate protective equipment.
Requirements:
- Education: BS preferred, open to MLT associate degree with relevant experience.
- Experience: Blood bank experience is mandatory - Blood Bank Only.
- Vaccination: None required.
- Schedule: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, with rotating weekends.
- Skills: Must have Blood Bank experience and preferably Soft Bank experience.
- Certification: Must hold an associate degree or bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science. ASCP certification is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: Between $38.00 to $40.00 Per Hour
