Epic Training Specialist

Position Overview:
The University of Miami Health System, known as UHealth, is seeking an Epic Principal Trainer to join its IT Department. This role is crucial in supporting the clinical systems essential for patient care and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the integration of business applications to provide effective training and assistance to staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, and system functionality validation.
- Deliver training to end-users on various clinical systems applications supported by the IT Training department.
- Formulate training project plans aligned with IT project timelines to meet implementation goals.
- Create lesson plans, curriculum designs, training manuals, classroom exercises, and online learning modules tailored to employee roles that utilize clinical systems.
- Participate in application testing, simulations, and go-live events.
- Collaborate with analysts to develop training strategies based on application changes and new features.
- Interact with stakeholders and end-users to ensure training aligns with UHealth's clinical and business requirements.
- Monitor project statuses and issues regularly with leadership.
- Analyze, design, build, test, and troubleshoot application and technical issues related to training environments.
- Participate in on-call scheduling as needed.
- Adhere to University policies and safeguard University assets.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of pertinent experience.
- Strong communication skills in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to foster effective interpersonal relationships.
- Proficient in problem recognition, analysis, and resolution.
- Capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
- A combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
