About the Role

The Aladdin Middle Office Strategy and Architecture Lead is responsible for the development and management of the Aladdin Middle Office Service model. This global business lead is responsible for managing an effective business across senior leadership within Global Delivery, Global Sales, Global Client Management, Alpha organizations, and BRS Vendor interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership across the organization in the strategic development of STT's Aladdin Middle Office Outsourcing efforts
  • Stay abreast of BRS product strategy/roadmap and understand/analyze impact to AMOOS strategy
  • Define, articulate and help enforce a standard operating model with our clients and BRS
  • Coordinate across STT senior stakeholders to develop, implement, and deliver a scalable global operating model
  • Assist global Sales teams with the expanding Aladdin Middle Office opportunities. Work with senior management to target future AMOOS opportunities to maintain STT's position as the largest global AMOOS Provider
  • Support global Implementation teams with onboarding Aladdin Middle Office Outsourcing assignments
  • Ensure Aladdin MO best practices/standards are onboarded across the model to ensure and maintain scalability, LOI/SLA documentation, etc.
  • Streamline the onboarding processes to achieve revenues faster
  • Work with Global Delivery/Operations leadership teams to establish a scalable multi-client operating model and global footprint strategy for Aladdin Middle Office Outsourcing
  • Assist with the redesign of the existing Aladdin support teams to prepare for expected growth in this business line
  • Develop a quasi-multi-tenant global support team to more easily accommodate additional clients onto the model (4 clients by year end)
  • Establish a seamless and scalable global pass-the-book - multi-client support model
  • Foster and sustain a mutually beneficial vendor relationship with BRS as it pertains to Aladdin Middle Office Outsourcing
  • Establish a MO agenda as a BRS client:Develop a joint marketing strategyDevelop a multi-tenant Aladdin Middle Office Outsourcing environment
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration and innovation across technology, integration, product, risk, sales, marketing, compliance, legal, and finance teams
  • Building/maintaining close relationships with clients and partners while representing the Aladdin Middle Office Outsourcing Model in client and market facing interactions
  • Serving as an evangelist of the Aladdin Middle Office Outsourcing Model, both internally and externally, to drive awareness, adoption, successful partnerships and new business
  • Provide support for and effectively communicate broad overall company initiatives and goals to managers and staff within span of control
  • Responsible for developing budget and staffing projections
  • Assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions to transform how we operate and deliver services to clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Aladdin IP.

Requirements

  • An ability to be a leader within their team, as well as be a leader amongst your peers
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Possess deep Aladdin and middle office operating model knowledge and have an understanding of present and future market trends.
  • Manage a complex environment and strive to streamline and simplify the model for customers and STT all processes connected between STT and BR.
  • Extensive experience with the front, middle and/or back office processing
  • Superb communicator with all varieties of clients and internal staff of all experience levels including senior stakeholders and leaders inside and outside the business.
  • Ability to influence others, drive large strategic initiatives, and effect change.
  • Proven record of setting and delivering strategic change and increasing efficiency globally.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to switch seamlessly from strategic thinking to detailed analysis depending on subject and audience. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels across the organization.
  • Appreciation of cultural differences globally.

  • Adept at managing multiple projects/initiatives (strong attention to detail and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously)

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years in financial services, either in front office, middle office, capital markets, trading, operations and/or client service
  • Proven change management abilities delivering successful outcomes on transformation initiatives
  • Significant understanding of Aladdin Enterprise
  • Experience in developing, implementing Aladdin and/or relative middle office services
  • Proven track record in driving innovative products from ideation through design and development (preferably within large, complex organizations), inclusive of commercial considerations
  • Experience working with asset management, asset owner, insurance company clients
  • Excellent presentation, communications, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Up to 25% travel required for both internal management and client purposes.
  • MBA and/or CFA are a plus
