We are in search of a seasoned leader in corporate strategy to enhance our organizational growth and strategic direction. This role is pivotal in steering the annual strategic planning process in collaboration with the executive leadership team, as well as in identifying and analyzing market trends, strategic opportunities, and industry shifts to effectively communicate insights. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader, ready to define, direct, and implement corporate strategies within a collaborative and patient-focused framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development and Communication

  • Oversee the annual corporate strategy and planning process in partnership with the executive team, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration and comprehensive input.
  • Perform thorough analyses of biotech trends, market conditions, advancements in allergy and immunology, and the regulatory landscape to pinpoint growth opportunities and competitive advantages. Prepare detailed briefing documents and disseminate findings.
  • Work closely with the executive team and cross-functional leaders to define, guide, and implement the corporate strategy.
  • Investigate, assess, and propose strategies and initiatives that align with Astria's corporate objectives.
  • Create and design corporate strategy presentations for executive management, Board meetings, and the organization, effectively communicating complex concepts in an engaging manner.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements and scientific innovations to refine strategies as necessary.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Translate strategic vision into actionable plans with clear timelines and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead and manage strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives, developing project plans, timelines, and milestones while coordinating with stakeholders to drive progress and meet goals. Monitor project status, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Promote a culture centered on patient care, collaboration, innovation, and scientific excellence, advocating for initiatives that further the company’s success in allergy and immunology.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM field or finance; PhD or MBA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with experience in biopharma management consulting and startup environments highly desirable.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Adept at simplifying complex ideas and crafting compelling presentations.
  • Curious, organized, proactive, strategic thinker with superior analytical capabilities.
