Job Title: Executive Director - Women's Health Centers of WV and MD

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team at Women's Health Centers of WV and MD. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, finances, and strategic direction of our multi-site organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organizational Leadership and Compliance:
    • Recruit, assign, evaluate, promote, and release staff members as necessary to provide quality and efficient delivery of services.
    • Manage a core team of four direct reports while maintaining overall responsibility for the entire staff, ensuring alignment across all levels of the organization.
    • Responsible for the performance evaluation and annual review of management staff at both clinics.
    • Handle legal compliance, including arranging for adequate insurances for WHC properties and general liability.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory aspects of the health centers in collaboration with the Medical Directors, including HIPAA, OSHA, CLA, and NAF regulations.
    • Maintain documentation of all current credentialing requirements, certifications, and licensures.
    • Lead the implementation of the clinic's quality assurance plan.
  • Service Development, Delivery, and Implementation:
    • Develop, plan for, and provide clinic programs and services consistent with the core values, mission, and vision approved by the Board of Directors.
    • Maintain all programming at a level of professional services.
    • Stay informed of trends in WHC's operations and be alert to changing community needs.
    • Provide evaluation and modification of services to meet community needs.
    • Provide and maintain adequate and appropriate physical facilities, equipment, supplies, security infrastructure, and compliance protocols to ensure the quality and efficient delivery of services.
    • Create opportunities to increase community understanding of WHC and its services by participating in local/regional professional activities relevant to WHC's core values, mission, and vision.
  • Fundraising and Finance:
    • Lead fundraising efforts, including prospecting, grant applications, and fund management, both in terms of individual donors and institutional funders.
    • Work with the Board of Directors to support comprehensive funding efforts, including identification of available individual, governmental, and private foundation support.
    • Prepare an annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors.
    • Administer all services within budgetary guidelines.
    • Maintain adequate systems for accountability of funds.
    • Lead strategic planning implementation, including setting funding priorities and establishing all salary scales.
    • Work closely with the accountant to ensure cash flow, budgetary reserves, and accurate and compliant financial reporting and records.
Requirements:
  • A commitment to WHC's mission and values.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health, human-services, or other related field is required; a Master's Degree or equivalent number of years of Director-level or above is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
  • A resident of the Charleston, West Virginia, or Cumberland, Maryland, regions or willingness to relocate to the area.
  • Regular and reliable ability to commute between Charleston, West Virginia, and Cumberland, Maryland.
  • Knowledge of and direct experience with nonprofit fundraising and donor management.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading teams and building culture.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment and passion for sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice, harm reduction, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

Benefits:
  • Position Type: Exempt, Full-time (40+ hours per week), In-person position.
  • Travel Requirement: Regular required travel between Charleston, West Virginia, and Cumberland, Maryland.
  • Annual Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000.
  • Benefits:
    • 100% employer-covered health and life insurance premiums for employee; optional vision, dental, and LTD/STD.
    • 401k with 3.5% employer match.
    • PTO accrual and 13 paid holidays.
    • A requirement of this job is for the candidate to be a resident of the Charleston, West Virginia, or Cumberland, Maryland, regions or willingness to relocate to the area. WHC will provide a relocation stipend to candidates relocating.
