Executive Culinary Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in Charleston, SC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating innovative menu items, managing food inventories, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement daily specials and menu items in collaboration with the owner
- Maintain and manage food inventories to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste
- Work with the owner to place orders with suppliers and negotiate prices
- Organize training for new hires and continued education for team members
- Assist the owner in developing and opening new concepts and projects
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen facility, including checking out stations and storage areas
- Create schedules for the kitchen team and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Work collaboratively with other management members to achieve business objectives
- Discourage negative attitudes and maintain a positive work environment
- Maintain open communication with the owner and provide regular updates on kitchen operations
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine-dining or fine-casual high-volume restaurant
- Passion for cooking and leading a team
- Scratch kitchen experience and ability to develop menus with the owner
- Experience with steakhouses, seafood, and Italian cuisine
- Ability to focus on food quality, cleanliness, and profitability
- Open to training and willing to learn
