Job Summary

The MetroHealth Foundation is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Health Equity Sponsorship and Partnerships efforts. This is a critical leadership role that will oversee the development and execution of strategic partnerships and events to advance our mission of improving community health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward support from corporations, small businesses, and other funders to underwrite the costs of MetroHealth's health equity events, community outreach efforts, and special initiatives.
  • Manage a portfolio of 15-20 local, regional, and national prospects, with responsibility for meeting annual goals including philanthropy attainment and metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer, Executive Director of Philanthropy, and Executive Director of Community Health, Engagement, and Impact to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan.
  • Serve as a critical member of the department's executive team and uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • 10 or more years of nonprofit leadership experience successfully leading and implementing programs, philanthropy, staff, and volunteers.
  • 10 or more years of planning and executing large, complex special events with multiple stakeholders.
  • 10 or more years of major campaign, fundraising, corporate donor/sponsorship portfolio management experience.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and sustain community and business partnerships.
  • Progressive leadership experience that includes staff supervision, budget management, and proven track record of job-related accomplishments.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management.
  • Excellent project management skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities from various constituents with tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven level of comfort engaging with corporate and community leaders and influencers.
  • Proven employee motivation, problem-solving, and organizational skills along with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop recommendations and solutions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
