Job Summary
The Admissions Reception Area Coordinator plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to prospective and current students, as well as other members of the public. This position requires a high level of professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate front-line customer service activities, including in-person and telephone information services.
- Schedule interviews for prospective students and provide guidance on the admissions process.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of campus visits, open houses, and other events.
- Work with external vendors and campus departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Streamline major campus-wide events available to prospective students.
- Respond to and track reservations for on-campus admissions events.
- Review and respond to emails from students and families regarding programs and procedures.
- Research and resolve issues, referring problems to administrative and counseling staff when necessary.
- Participate in hiring and training of student aides.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the Admissions Office and Welcome Center.
- Coordinate the effective flow of activities within the Welcome Center.
- Serve as backup administrator for Enterprise Rental cars.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate's degree or vocational school degree preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of work-related experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
- Knowledge of Google Suite (gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and calendar).
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational abilities and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and offices.
