Role Overview:

We are seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer responsible for the upkeep, management, and operation of server and data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, administration, and operation of server and data center infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve initial and secondary issues related to local area network Windows servers and associated third-party software.
  • Collaborate with management to formulate strategic plans for server stability, expansion, and capacity planning.
  • Engage in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call support as required.
  • Manage maintenance outages to ensure continuous availability.
  • Generate metrics and reports as necessary.
  • Assess and recommend software and hardware alternatives.
  • Plan upgrades, system designs, and backups.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards, including Sarbanes Oxley, project planning, test data, and testing protocols.
  • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
  • Provide hands-on support and backup as needed to ensure system stability and project completion.
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance of company servers and related hardware components, including installation, configuration, management, troubleshooting, system health monitoring, performance analysis, firmware upgrades, and warranty repair coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to implement vulnerability management strategies.
  • Support disaster recovery testing in accordance with current standards.
  • Install and configure operating systems (Windows and ESXi) and third-party software (backup, Citrix).
  • Monitor and configure the health of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in server and systems management.
  • Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft Exchange, VMware, Citrix, Veeam, patching, server hardware, and data center management.
  • Familiarity with user administration, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), cybersecurity, Microsoft Office suite, and email security/archiving solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Azure Virtual Machines.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
