The Infrastructure Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the organization's server and infrastructure systems, both on-premise and in cloud environments.

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing the administration of the company's server and digital infrastructure, including network operating systems, servers, Cisco UCS, SANs, VMWare, V-Sphere, Windows, file and print services, domain controllers, automation, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, monitoring and reporting, data center capacity management, disaster recovery, backups, and recovery.
  • Demonstrating extensive experience with Azure.
  • Responding to events, incidents, and outages as necessary, under the guidance of the IT Director and in collaboration with the technology leadership team.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of relevant policies, procedures, and training plans.
  • Conducting regular backup operations and establishing effective processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Possessing a working knowledge of common services such as DNS, SMTP, DHCP, and HTTP.
  • Managing support tickets related to server issues, cloud providers, and virtual environments.
  • Having familiarity with Mimecast or similar tools for spam filtering, encryption, and data loss prevention.
  • Administering Windows systems, including Active Directory, scripting, DNS, and Group Policies.
  • Planning for GPO policy upgrades to enhance business operations security (Active Directory).
  • Complying with best practices for securing applications and platforms currently in use (MFA).
  • Participating in internal and external audits (HiTrust).

Required Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree or higher in Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • An advanced understanding of infrastructure, including Azure, cloud technologies, Active Directory, Windows desktop/server OS, VMware, and storage systems.
  • Familiarity with various identity and access management systems is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of protocols such as WMI, SNMP, TLS, SSL, and SMB.
  • Expertise in securing systems and platforms through device and policy hardening.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to end users, both in writing and verbally.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, O365, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, HITECH, PCI, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, URAC regulations, and familiarity with CMS, NIST, and other healthcare industry-related regulations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Veeam Backup tool, Netwrix, HPE Storage, Zscaler, Virtual Desktops, and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends during unplanned outages and other special circumstances, with 24/7 accountability.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
