Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled International Trade Paralegal to join our team at AMS Staffing, Inc. in Washington DC. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • International Trade:
    • Assist with international trade litigation matters, including electronic filings with the USDOC, USITC, and USCIT.
    • Cite checking and blue-booking of legal documents.
  • General:
    • Draft, analyze, and prepare legal documents for supervising lawyers or paralegals.
    • Coordinate legal projects and communicate legal information for supervising lawyers or paralegals.
    • Prepare draft communications for supervising lawyers or paralegals.
    • Collect, evaluate, and summarize relevant facts and legal concepts for supervising lawyers or paralegals.
    • Attend client meetings, coordination meetings, and legal proceedings with supervising lawyers or paralegals.
    • Provide legal project management for legal matters for supervising lawyers or paralegals.
    • Supervise project assistants on assigned tasks.
    • Maintain notary license in local jurisdiction.
    • Follow all supervising lawyer or paralegal instructions.
    Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate required.
    • Experience: Candidates with trial experience are highly preferred.
    • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, understanding of legal processes and practice-group specific procedures, excellent interpersonal, team, and customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to function well in a high-paced and stressful environment, ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and practice-group specific software.
