Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team at NW Recruiting Partners. As a Paralegal - Real Estate Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' land development and acquisition efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in-house counsel with contract review and negotiation.
  • Coordinate efforts between the Land Development and Land Acquisition departments.
  • Summarize purchase and sale agreements for team members.
  • Handle corporate contract packages and earnest money.
  • Draft contracts, amendments, and HOA documents.
  • Process notice of sale packages and land/lot closings.
  • Submit weekly funding requests and update contract status reports.
  • Prepare land/lot acquisition and funding reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
  • Support project management in the development department.
  • Prepare and review easements, titles, environmental reports, surveys, and site plans.
  • Contact sellers and brokers.
  • Research legal issues for local counsel.
  • Oversee and organize various contracts and projects.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related experience and/or training as a Paralegal.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in real estate or construction is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and outside counsel.
