Role Summary

The Youth Ministry Leader plays a pivotal role at Union Church by recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteer Student Directors to help them reach their full potential. This position involves developing both campus-specific and global strategies as the student ministry expands, ensuring that the next generation is aligned with our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft engaging message content for Student Night.
  • Establish a welcoming service environment during Student Night that connects students to growth opportunities, worship, prayer, and community, while encouraging leadership development.
  • Build and empower teams of students to take on leadership roles.
  • Implement the Leadership Pipeline within teams effectively.
  • Conduct regular training and team-building sessions focused on the objectives of each demographic.
  • Promote student involvement across campus through various channels such as Sunday services and Student Night.
  • Maintain an active presence on social media to keep students and parents informed about student services.
  • Foster relationships with affiliated churches through the Union Network.
  • Engage with local schools to facilitate student participation in services.
  • Follow up with every student who fills out a connection card during services.
  • Provide pastoral care to students and develop personal growth plans aimed at healing, restoration, and freedom.
  • Serve as the liaison for all group systems and structures implemented by volunteers.
  • Manage financial aspects of the department in alignment with Union Church's financial protocols.
  • Be available for hosting services and leading network operations.
