Position Title: Youth Ministry Coordinator

Department: Children's Ministry

Reports To: Director of Children's Ministry

Weekly Commitment: 22 Hours

Classification: Part-Time Employee

OBJECTIVE:
The ideal candidate for the Youth Ministry Coordinator position should possess a strong commitment to nurturing children's spiritual growth, a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ, reliability, attention to detail, adaptability, and sound judgment. This role involves providing essential administrative assistance in various areas, including curriculum development, volunteer management, event organization, family outreach, and overseeing weekly programming.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS: Administration, Discernment, Encouragement, Leadership

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, prepare, and modify educational materials utilized in children's programs.
  • Develop weekly volunteer schedules and manage substitutions as needed.
  • Contribute to the weekly experience in ACC Kids, including opening and closing duties.
  • Oversee inventory and supply management for the ministry.
  • Recognize and communicate the pastoral care needs of volunteers and families engaged with ACC Kids.
  • Assist in ensuring staff coverage for ACC Kids programming and support the planning and execution of children's ministry events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with children and families to promote engagement and participation.
  • Support the development of a ministry for children with special needs.
  • Manage database systems and ensure precise record-keeping.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers for the children's ministry.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Children's Ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • No formal degree required; however, a minimum of 3 years of experience in Children's Ministry or a leadership role within a ministry setting is preferred.
