- Oversee all inquiries related to room bookings, including reservations, confirmations, and cancellations, while implementing yield management strategies to maximize rates and occupancy.
- Facilitate communication with the front office, sales team, and upper management.
- Manage an effective reservations department to achieve optimal occupancy levels.
- Adjust rates to ensure the highest possible pricing is achieved.
- Handle all types of bookings including individual, corporate, and group reservations.
- Negotiate pricing with guests, businesses, and travel agencies as necessary.
- Ensure the accurate completion of all reservations.
- Manage all inquiries, bookings, administrative tasks, deposits, payments, and follow-ups.
- Monitor online platforms for incoming reservations.
- Track future availability to establish rates for sale on internal systems and websites, adjusting availability as needed.
- Keep the front office updated on daily availability and optimal rates for selling.
- Manage waitlists during peak periods to maximize occupancy.
- Document turnaways on busy dates.
- Follow up on charges for no-show reservations.
- Conduct tours for potential clients around the hotel.
- Perform various job-related tasks as assigned.
- Stay informed about competitor activities and share insights with the Deputy Manager, Rates Manager, and Sales Team.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing department to establish annual rates and remain aware of monthly and yearly targets.
- Ensure timely responses to all emails on a daily basis.
- When necessary, follow up on bookings and issue apologies if required.
- Conduct regular reviews of upcoming bookings.
- Provide reports as requested by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or Director of Sales.
- Participate in relevant promotional and public relations events as needed.
- Brief all department heads on current business activities on a daily basis.
- Attend regular management meetings.
A degree in Hotel Management or a related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within 4-star or 5-star hotels.
Additional Information- Good health condition.
- Fluency in English and conversational proficiency in Arabic.
