Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Services Representative to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a positive experience for our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to patients, families, and visitors
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to resolve patient concerns and provide updates
  • Answer telephone calls in a clear, courteous, and professional manner
  • Screen calls and route them promptly and accurately to the appropriate party
  • Make, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Support digital communication with patients while maintaining the highest level of service and professionalism
  • Gather, verify, and enter demographic and insurance information for new and established patients
  • Assist with proactive charge capture and billing accuracy
  • Collect payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily receivable activity
  • Collaborate with support services to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
Requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively enter information into various computer programs
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to interact effectively with physicians, healthcare team members, and patients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
