About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Case Manager to join our Mobile Response Team at the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC). As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide critical support to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to crisis calls from our housing sites, completing risk assessments and developing safety plans to ensure the physical and psychological safety of clients.
  • Collaborate with clients, housing staff, and other support services to establish and implement plans for successful engagement and stabilization.
  • Provide follow-up services to coordinate care and link clients to relevant resources and services.
  • Document all data collection and required procedures, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with programs providing services for our population, advocating for clients' access to community resources and services.
Requirements
  • Ability to meet Washington Department of Health requirements for registration as a Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) or any other superseding credential.
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related behavioral science, or a combination of 1 year of relevant paid work experience and demonstration of the ability to perform required job duties.
  • Ability to drive an agency or personal vehicle to conduct agency-related business, with a current Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Familiarity with Recovery Principles, Crisis Intervention and Stabilization, Integrated Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders, Intensive Case Management, Illness Management, Trauma-Informed Treatment, and relevant Evidenced-based/Emerging best practices.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately to any type of mental health and/or substance use crisis.
