About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Legends, a leading provider of hospitality and entertainment services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our food outlets, ensuring exceptional quality and service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the production, operation, and sanitation aspects of all culinary and stewarding operations throughout our facilities.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of sous chefs and lead cooks, planning and scheduling work assignments, and providing performance development and corrective counseling as needed.
  • Menu Planning and Cost Control: Plan innovative menus, maintain financial responsibility for the menu mix, and analyze menu and food costs to prepare cost and quality efficient menus and specials.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management to ensure all outlets are adequately supplied at all times, and perform periodic inventory.
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain effective vendor relationships to ensure the highest quality products and services.
  • Sanitation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local health department standards and company standards for kitchen sanitation.
  • Client Interaction: Directly interact with high-level clients to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • A degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute, or apprenticeship certification from the American Culinary Federation.
  • At least three to five years of experience as an executive sous chef in a high-volume food industry.
  • A proven track record in improving kitchen efficiencies, quality, food, and labor costs.
  • Excellent managerial, financial analysis, team building, and communication skills, as well as customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized, with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and open to providing incidental or short-term support to other facilities as needed.
