Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement menus that showcase the hotel's culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our discerning guests.
- Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage to create innovative culinary concepts and promotions that drive revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as Highgate Hotels' standards for food quality and presentation.
- Manage food costs, labor expenses, and inventory levels to optimize profitability and minimize waste.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional service and quality.
- Work closely with the hotel's management team to ensure seamless execution of events, banquets, and other culinary initiatives.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- 5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on culinary management and leadership.
- Culinary degree from a reputable institution.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, health and safety regulations, and liquor laws and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional results under pressure.
