Overview

As a Senior Financial Accountant at ePlus Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for executing general ledger journal entries related to product revenue, costs, vendor rebates, and customer fee accruals and deferrals. Your role will involve reconciliations, analytical research, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring thorough documentation and reporting.

YOUR IMPACT

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly journal entries.
  • Reconciliation and analysis of complex general ledger accounts.
  • Collaboration with Operations and Sales to ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition for new customer and vendor contracts.
  • Independent identification and resolution of issues as they arise.
  • Assistance in the preparation of internal and external reports, including consolidated financial statements.
  • Updating documentation of internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Providing information to internal and external auditors.
  • Staying informed on emerging technical issues that may impact ePlus.
  • Performing additional duties as required to meet departmental goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 4-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with Great Plains software is a plus.
  • Experience in a public accounting firm or large corporate environment is preferred.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working independently on various analytical tasks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Adaptability to different software environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
POSITION SPECIFICS

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $100,000 annually, though actual pay may vary based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as commissions and discretionary bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

ePlus reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation elements at any time, based on performance and market factors.
