We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our team at N C Machinery in Anchorage, Alaska. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, including engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including removal, repair, assembly, and installation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging, and blocking equipment.
- Plan and organize job tasks, with a focus on controlling costs.
- Investigate and analyze problems to identify solutions and make recommendations.
- A high school degree or equivalent, or a graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution.
- A valid driver's license, with the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Outlook.
- The ability to stand for up to eight hours per day, with frequent twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping, and kneeling.
- Flexibility to travel for extended periods to work with customers.
- Experience working at a Caterpillar dealership or with CAT products is preferred.
