About the RoleWe offer a competitive salary of $32 per hour, plus a $10,000 retention bonus, annual tool allowance, and benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance. The successful candidate will work a Sunday-to-Friday schedule from 11pm-7:30am.
Job DescriptionThe Diesel Mechanic Lead will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fleet road equipment, ensuring compliance with trucking regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with diesel equipment, such as tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and more.
- Performing preventative maintenance according to company standards.
- Completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
- Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
- Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in administering appropriate PM programs.
- Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with coworkers and drivers.
