About the Role:
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of the products and systems that drive the Patch climate platform.
Your collaboration with cross-functional partners will be essential in shaping the product roadmap and establishing forward-thinking goals.
Your contributions in interpreting, designing, implementing, and iterating on these core elements will be vital to our mission, fostering innovation and sustainability at Patch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive experiences for buyers and sellers of carbon credits on the Patch platform, ensuring accessibility for participants of all sizes in the climate economy.
- Design product-oriented systems from foundational principles, discerning when a proof-of-concept is suitable versus when scalability is necessary.
- Act as a technical steward and advocate for Patch's systems, maintaining a strategic focus on their long-term success.
- Collaborate with your team to address challenges, actively engage in discussions, and advocate for engineering-specific roadmap initiatives.
- Work alongside other Patch team members in Product, Design, and GTM to deliver the best possible product to our users.
- Provide constructive feedback on the designs and code of fellow engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Enhance the quality and robustness of the code for the Patch Platform, ensuring it adheres to high standards of performance and reliability.
Who You Are:
- You possess a minimum of 6+ years of direct experience in software engineering.
- You have a proven track record of delivering end-to-end product experiences, whether in small teams or dynamic startup environments.
- You have experience with or are eager to learn Ruby on Rails.
- You have substantial experience in driving end-to-end execution with minimal oversight.
- You can write clear, concise, and well-tested code.
- You communicate effectively and collaborate on technical topics across teams and departments.
- You are committed to technical excellence, continuously raising the bar and delivering results.
- You have experience mentoring and providing feedback to other engineers through one-on-one sessions.

Compensation Range:
$170K - $215K
This range includes salaries for both Senior and Staff level engineers. Actual salary is determined by factors such as experience, levels, and location.
Full-time employees will also be eligible for equity and insurance benefits.
Specific compensation packages are tailored to each candidate based on their unique qualifications, including demonstrated skill set, years of relevant experience, location, and role-dependent factors.
