Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre and post-contract commercial support.
  • Manage bonds, insurances, and guarantee logs.
  • Review interim valuations and payment certificates.
  • Oversee change management processes.
  • Evaluate variations and prepare recommendations.
  • Assist in risk and value management, as well as cost control functions.
  • Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Prepare progress and cost reports.
  • Report to the Project Director on all commercial matters.
  • Understand health and safety regulations and their implications.
  • Attend and represent the company at commercial meetings.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in pre and post-contract commercial processes.
  • Strong administrative and QAQC reviewing skills.
  • Experience in managing change control processes and client interactions.
  • Knowledge of the local market is advantageous.
  • MRICS certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in managing teams and client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in measurement and quantification of building and infrastructure works.
  • Cost estimating experience for building and infrastructure elements.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC Contracts.
  • Broad project experience, including Hospitality, Residential, Leisure, and Infrastructure.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a consultant and/or client background.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the region.
  • Proficiency in QS software such as Cost-X or similar is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven technical writing ability in English.
