Job Summary

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for the preparation of proposals, including cost, technical, and commercial responses. This role requires strong analytical skills to analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and understand bid documents published by clients
* Determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists
* Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for management purposes
* Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates
* Interface with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to cost estimates
* Use estimating procedures and policies
* Conduct pre-job checklists and define scope of work
* Coordinate disciplines amongst the estimating team
* Perform multiple types of quantity take-off
* Prepare project bid schedules

Requirements

* 10 years of construction experience
* Earthwork construction experience
* Concrete construction experience
