Position Summary:

The Senior Manager will collaborate with the Americas Controllership team, emphasizing monthly closing processes, intercompany transactions, acquisition assistance, and system support. This role is integral to the month-end closing activities for Publicis Sapient North America, working closely with the team to ensure timely completion of related tasks. The ideal candidate will have robust accounting and analytical expertise, coupled with the ability to navigate change in a dynamic environment. This position requires a hands-on approach, allowing the individual to delve into details while also focusing on long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the monthly closing process, ensuring adherence to Groupe policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with various Shared Services teams to guarantee accurate and comprehensive monthly closures, understanding shared information, and ensuring proper cost recording.
  • Conduct variance analysis of actual results to ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Promote a culture of continuous process enhancement and high-quality deliverables within the team.
  • Collaborate with reporting teams to keep them informed of any significant accounting issues and changes that may affect Commit and Reforecasts.
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects, including integration support, acquisition assistance, and accounting matters for subsidiary entities as required.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Guide and mentor direct reports, fostering their professional development and skill enhancement.
Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage an accounting team while driving continuous process improvements.
  • Experience in a large, complex organization is essential.
  • Ability to analyze extensive data sets, identify root causes of issues, recommend solutions, and implement actions independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey financial information to internal teams.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience working with independent auditors.
  • Experience with consolidation and foreign currency responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Manager and SAP is preferred; strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours to meet deadlines.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience within the corporate accounting department of a large organization.
  • CPA designation is highly preferred.
Additional Information:

Compensation Range: $108,000 - $165,000
This range represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently utilized at Publicis Sapient. The actual range for this position may vary based on location and specific skill set required for the role.
