US Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Continuous Improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Implement Lean Manufacturing Processes: Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence throughout the plant.
- Manage and Track CI Projects: Manage and track all CI projects occurring throughout the facility and drive them to completion.
- Identify and Facilitate Process Improvement Projects: Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/workshops to drive cultural change.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/business issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, and create process documentation.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Lead, train, and coach cross-functional teams to implement improvements and embrace lean culture change.
- Interface with Manufacturing Personnel: Interface with manufacturing personnel to improve existing processes, increase safety, and solve any ergonomic concerns.
- Solve Complex Problems: Use creativity, innovative approaches, and industry-accepted methodologies to solve complex problems.
- Facilitate Kaizen Events: Facilitate non-technical personnel in leading Kaizen events.
- Implement Lean Systems: Implement 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work projects.
- Support CI Projects: Assist the champions of other CI projects as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years experience in lean manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma Green belt preferred.
- Experience with leading project teams.
- Experience with Lean Systems Implementation in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent technical skills (mechanical/machining/Special Process).
- Ability to execute Lean in engineering environments (order flow, technical specs, estimating, configuration).
- Ability to influence leadership across functions, and at many levels from shop floor to conference room.
- Strong analytical & coaching skills. Goal to develop Lean experts throughout the plant.
- Transparent, results-oriented, and accountable with strong customer focus.
- Must be passionate about results gained the right way, through the development of people and processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing, transforming environment.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience with emphasis in Outlook, Excel, Project, and Powerpoint.
- CAD knowledge preferred.
- Occasional travel, less than 10%.
