About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead our Enterprise sales efforts in the Midwest region. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of your business, strategy, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue net new Enterprise accounts in the Midwest
  • Understand customer business requirements and align Kong solutions to add value and help them achieve their business objectives
  • Provide account leadership and direction in the pre- and post-sales process and contribute to analysis on wins/losses
  • Effectively manage and leverage cross-functional relationships with SE, SDR, Operations, Marketing, Product, Legal, etc.
  • Foster and encourage partnership with the Channel, Cloud Providers, Systems Integrators, ISVs, etc.
  • Build large ecosystem-based sales campaigns
  • Embrace the sales process with attention to detail
  • Operate with a high standard of excellence
  • Meet customers and partners on-site and remotely, as well as attend events, trade shows, etc.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hunting experience
  • A strong desire to succeed
  • A past track record of success
  • A key focus on helping customers solve and address their business challenges
  • Experience with infrastructure software, open source, APIM, and the cloud native landscape preferred
