Branch Sales Director

We are seeking a seasoned sales leader to drive our sales initiatives and exceed targets as a Branch Sales Director at Zim². As a pivotal member of our team in Chicago, you will set ambitious yet achievable performance goals, lead and inspire the Branch sales team, and use performance and industry data to drive the sales plan and accommodate corporate objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

**Strategic Goal Setting**
Direct sales forecasting activities, set realistic and attainable sales goals aligned with company objectives, and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.

**Team Leadership**
Lead and inspire the Branch sales team through weekly sales meetings and one-on-one mentoring sessions, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.

**Target Monitoring**
Communicate and monitor sales goals, targets, and KPIs, ensuring they are realistic and attainable, and proactively identifying and rectifying service shortfalls and missed opportunities.

**Business Expansion**
Provide strategic direction to the Account Owners and Sales Support team to expand the Branch's book of business, leveraging commercial flair and drive for growth.

**Collaboration**
Foster close communication with Trade and cross-functional teams to stay updated on market intelligence, service updates, customer challenges, and opportunities, and initiate sales campaigns as needed.

**Contract Negotiations**
Drive contract negotiations with Account Owners, Clients, and Trade partners, utilizing your proven track record of leading within a complex matrix organization.

**Requirements**

* Academic education: Bachelor Degree (Marketing/Business Administration)
* Experience: 7-10 years' experience in the ocean shipping or freight forwarding industry management positions; 5 years in Sales management position strongly preferred
* Midwest market knowledge is crucial
* Commercial flair and drive for growth
* Proven track record of leading within a complex matrix organization
