Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Direct the Reporting and Registration Branch, providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the branch.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with state and federal laws and regulations.
    • Manage and supervise a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the success of the team.
  • Policy Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to vital records management, including registration, records management, and data quality.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address issues related to vital records management.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to vital records management.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including state and federal agencies, local governments, and the public.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise information related to vital records management.
    • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective and efficient operation of the branch.
  • Performance Management
    • Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the branch.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the branch, making recommendations for improvement.
    • Ensure that the branch is operating in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Masters degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a government agency or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to direct and supervise a team of professionals.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to vital records management.
    • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to vital records management.
