We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Director to join our team at Advantage Consulting Group.

The estimated salary for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.

Job Summary

This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a proven track record of leading financial teams and implementing effective financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP, oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, analyze variances and provide insights to management, and collaborate with department heads to prepare departmental budgets.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations, and oversee tax compliance and prepare tax returns.
  • Internal Controls: Design and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets, conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement, and prepare reports for senior management and the board of directors.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, conduct performance evaluations and support professional development, and promote teamwork and collaboration within the finance department.
  • Strategic Support: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals, assist in evaluating investment opportunities and financial risks, and support mergers and acquisitions as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least [X] years in a managerial role. You should also have strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Additionally, you will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
