Floor Care Specialist

OBJECTIVE:
The objective of BAC is to deliver innovative services and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to attain personal achievements.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Execute Floor Technician responsibilities with efficiency and effectiveness. This role reports directly to the site management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct designated floor maintenance tasks according to established schedules, which may include:
- mopping surfaces
- polishing, stripping, and waxing floors
- cleaning carpets
- May need to relocate furniture while performing floor maintenance duties
- Manage supplies and equipment in accordance with set procedures
- Complete additional floor maintenance tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of six months of experience in floor care
- Ability to pass a background check for access to work areas
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of experience in floor care is preferred
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
- Maintain a reasonable pace according to assigned duties and physical capabilities
- Effective communication skills to address common inquiries or concerns
- Ability to follow basic instructions with or without reasonable accommodations
- Reasoning skills to identify issues, evaluate, and draw valid conclusions
- Attention to detail to ensure quality performance
- If driving is required, a valid driver's license and clean driving record are necessary. Not all positions will require driving.
SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Tasks are primarily performed indoors with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
- Personal protective equipment must be used as designated.
- Exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning agents and bio-waste) is involved.
- Required training and inoculations will be provided by the company.
- Some tasks may be performed independently with limited supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements may vary based on assigned tasks. This position necessitates the following: repetitive lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds is required. These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, as well as visual and auditory acuity.
Availability:
Full Time
Monday - Friday
3pm - 11:30pm
Compensation:
$17.63 per hour
