Job Title: Spiritual Care Coordinator

At Metropolitan Jewish Health System, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families. As a Spiritual Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the spiritual support they need during their time of need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate pastoral support services to patients and families, providing direct spiritual care and support.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning.
  • Document clinical contacts and patient interactions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Input clinical data into our electronic health record system.
  • Maintain updated intake reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Divinity degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a spiritual care or chaplaincy role.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong teaching and public speaking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform Islamic End-of-Life ministry.
  • Valid New York State driver's license.
