Position Summary

Under the guidance of the department leadership, the Clinical Telemetry Education Specialist plays a crucial role in addressing the educational needs of the organization. This position involves identifying performance gaps, creating educational initiatives utilizing a diverse range of evidence-based teaching methodologies, and assessing the effectiveness of programs through relevant metrics.

The Clinical Telemetry Education Specialist is responsible for developing and/or leading organization-wide educational programs, which encompass new employee orientation, competency management frameworks, role development initiatives, and ongoing professional education. Success in this role hinges on the ability to enhance capacity by empowering others, achieved through the design of systems and processes that can be utilized by staff throughout the organization to support onboarding, competency evaluation, role enhancement, and continuous learning.

The Nursing Clinical Education Department is dedicated to promoting optimal patient outcomes by facilitating educational activities that are focused on patient care and centered around the learner. Experience Requirements

Mandatory: Prior experience in educational facilitation, whether as an educator, preceptor, or in a comparable capacity. A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 4 years, aligned with the clinical focus of this role.

Preferred: Skills in instructional design and experience in evaluating educational outcomes.

Educational Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.

Licensure and Certifications

Required: California RN license.

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification (mandatory).

American Heart Association ACLS certification (mandatory).

American Heart Association PALS certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Related specialty certification to be achieved within one year (PCCN, CCRN, CNE/CNE-Cl, or NPD).

Salary Range: Based on years of relevant experience, the salary ranges from $146,265.60 to $195,582.40.

Work Schedule: Full-time, exempt position.

Position Type: Regular

Pay Range: $70.32 to $94.03 based on years of applicable experience.
