Key Responsibilities

Peraton is in search of a Trellix Endpoint Security Senior Engineer to contribute to our mission-critical initiatives. This role is essential in enhancing the security framework for our operations.

Daily Duties Include:
  • Designing, executing, and sustaining endpoint security measures utilizing Trellix ESS, ACAS, Elastic SIEM, and Tanium technologies.
  • Working collaboratively with diverse teams to architect, implement, and oversee endpoint security systems throughout the organization.
  • Performing regular security evaluations and vulnerability assessments to uncover potential risks and security deficiencies.
  • Monitoring and scrutinizing security incidents and events, responding swiftly to mitigate threats and minimize disruption to operations.
  • Diagnosing and resolving intricate technical challenges associated with endpoint security tools and configurations.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments and innovations in endpoint security and cybersecurity.
  • Engaging in security audits and compliance evaluations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Offering technical support and mentorship to junior security team members.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 12 years with a High School Diploma/equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; a minimum of a Secret clearance (or higher) is required.
  • At least 6 years of practical experience in the design, implementation, and management of endpoint security solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Trellix ESS, ACAS, Elastic SIEM, and Tanium for securing endpoints against cyber threats.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, protocols, and frameworks.
  • Previous experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracts is advantageous.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation for security-related functions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a capacity to think critically under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC is a plus.

Compensation Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and other factors.
