Key Responsibilities

Peraton is in search of a Trellix Endpoint Security Senior Engineer to enhance our team of skilled professionals. This role is integral to Peraton's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program, focusing on modernizing and streamlining the operational framework to better serve our clients.

Daily Responsibilities Include:
  • Design, implement, and sustain endpoint security solutions utilizing Trellix ESS, ACAS, Elastic SIEM, and Tanium technologies.
  • Collaborate with various teams to architect, deploy, and oversee endpoint security infrastructure organization-wide.
  • Conduct routine security evaluations and vulnerability assessments to uncover potential risks and security deficiencies.
  • Monitor and interpret security incidents, responding swiftly to mitigate threats and minimize disruption to operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges associated with endpoint security tools and configurations.
  • Remain informed about the latest developments and innovations in endpoint security and cybersecurity.
  • Engage in security audits and compliance evaluations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to junior members of the security team.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 12 years with a High School Diploma/equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; a minimum of a Secret clearance (or higher) is required.
  • At least 6 years of practical experience in designing, implementing, and managing endpoint security solutions.
  • Proficient in using Trellix ESS, ACAS, Elastic SIEM, and Tanium to secure endpoints against cyber threats.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, protocols, and frameworks.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracts is advantageous.
  • Skilled in scripting and automation for security-related functions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, capable of critical thinking under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are beneficial.

Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
