Position Overview

BigBear Inc. is in search of a Systems Administrator to enhance our GALE (Generic Area Limitation Environment) Support team. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with our development team and engage with clients in the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. This role requires on-site presence with occasional travel for client training sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement comprehensive training strategies for end-users.
  • Create educational resources for GALE, including manuals, instructional guides, video content, and blog articles.
  • Conduct training sessions for GALE in both formal classroom settings and informal deskside environments.
  • Leverage your analytical expertise and GALE experience to contribute insights for future enhancements of the system.
  • Perform ad hoc analytical tasks for various teams within our organization or for external clients.
  • Provide support to external users and administrators via our help desk.
  • Evaluate new versions of GALE and document any issues encountered.
  • Carry out fundamental system administration tasks for GALE.
  • Embrace continuous learning and adaptability in this dynamic role.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 4 to 6 years of experience; (or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree).
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in SIGINT or multi-spectrum analysis.
  • Proven experience in teaching or training within a classroom environment.
  • Experience in developing training materials and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Experience with relevant database management.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Basic knowledge of Python programming.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
