Role Summary: The Senior Project Engineer for Technical Solutions is responsible for overseeing and managing product development initiatives of varying scales. This position involves collaboration with clients, solution architects, sales teams, manufacturing units, and other internal stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of customer-focused projects from conception through to delivery in the production environment. Key responsibilities encompass requirements gathering, budget management, progress reporting, schedule formulation, resource forecasting, metrics oversight, and process enhancement initiatives. Furthermore, this role is pivotal in identifying and implementing strategic changes to enhance internal capabilities through automation and improved productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the complete project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Align resources and prioritize tasks to maintain focus on critical objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to address customer escalations, support inquiries, and technical requests.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external vendors for seamless project execution.
  • Define project responsibilities by outlining phases, estimating time requirements, and sequencing tasks.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, providing technical direction and support.
  • Conduct risk assessments to mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, risks, and contingency plans.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts and issues within the project team.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams in developing new processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and manage performance metrics to enhance efficiency.
  • Drive excellence through benchmarking and the adoption of best practices.
  • Ensure accountability for deliverables and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Utilize data and insights to promote broader organizational improvements.
  • Engage with consultants, contractors, vendors, and partners to manage project timelines, quality, and expectations.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships across various levels of the organization, including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and solution architecture.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in computer hardware, technology solutions, and components.
  • Proficient in gathering, documenting, and conveying business requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects (exceeding $500k) and directing external contractors and consultants.
  • Strong grasp of managing development activities from requirements through to qualification and delivery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product development processes in both hardware and software domains.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, issue tracking systems, and product lifecycle management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information and project updates.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, product management, and clients to define objectives and oversee project execution.
  • Capable of working independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in balancing the needs and requirements of customers, stakeholders, and peers.
