We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corrosion Engineer to join our team at Burns & McDonnell. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of corrosion engineering designs and cathodic protection systems for various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of corrosion engineering and cathodic protection systems for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments.
- Collaborate with project teams to create world-class designs that meet client needs and budget constraints.
- Develop and implement technical standards and procedures to ensure compliance with federal code and client specifications.
- Provide technical supervision and assistance to other teams and global practices within the company.
- Review and edit engineering reports, and consult with field staff regarding revisions in analysis or modifications of system designs.
- Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control.
- Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal development.
- Communicate with clients and project leadership to understand client interests and drivers.
- Apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory to all project work and problems encountered.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience in related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) and/or NACE certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge in standard corrosion engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and civil analysis programs.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with goals and ambitions to mentor and train assistant level engineers.

Compensation RangeThe expected compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $230,000, based on a number of factors, including individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location.
