Overview

Ketchum Pleon is seeking a Vice President/Group Manager to serve as a key agency contact for a leading Fortune 500 client. The successful candidate will lead and direct program efforts to ensure client satisfaction and bring a value-added approach to client work. We are looking for an individual with strong initiative, precision, and focus on detail, accustomed to a fast-paced environment and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the lead agency contact to a large client engagement in our Retail group.
  2. Lead and direct all program efforts to client satisfaction.
  3. Bring a value-added approach to all projects.
  4. Serve as senior contact for clients, work and engage C-suite, demonstrate in-depth knowledge of clients' business and industry.
  5. Develop strategy and lead successful tactical execution of client programs.
  6. Help account teams work effectively and in the best interests of clients.
  7. Maximize agency's network of resources to enhance client services.
  8. Lead projects from concept/planning to activation.
  9. Encourage effective delegation of project deliverables.
  10. Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
  11. Work with other integrated agency partnerships and relationships.
  12. Motivate and mentor team members – maintaining a high level of energy.
  13. Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills.
  14. Deliver strategic, engaging, and persuasive presentations to articulate ideas to clients, colleagues, and others effectively.
  15. Manage account team financials including accurate budget creation, budget allocation, client billing, supplier invoicing, and purchase orders.
  16. Ensure team billability and account profitability by managing the scope of work to those budgets.
  17. Participate in external company promotion through articles, speeches, presentations, professional memberships, etc. to increase Ketchum Pleon's visibility in the marketplace and create new business opportunities.
  18. Attract, grow, engage, and retain talent.
  19. Contribute to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture, where every employee feels a sense of belonging.
Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of agency experience and/or corporate public relations experience.
  • Precision focus with an acute attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to flex and provide counsel on your feet.
  • Proven experience counseling C-Suite-level clients.
  • Demonstrated track record in building strong client relationships and delivering programs that exceeded anticipated results.
  • Direct experience in building and managing teams.
  • Actively participates in professional and community networks within the PR industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues, and others.
