Beaver Creek Ski Resort Careers: Assistant Store Manager

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a high-performing team? Do you have a strong background in retail and a passion for the outdoors? We're seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Beaver Creek Ski Resort.

Job Summary:

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in leading a team of 10-12 employees, handling daily sales, rentals, operational, and merchandising functions of the store to achieve maximum profitability, efficiency, and a best-in-class guest experience. You will also be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing store sales through the use of a cash register, generating sales by establishing professional and personalized rapport with customers, and delivering outstanding guest service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining and coordinating operational expectations by following company policies and guidelines
  • Maintain and model high retail, merchandising, and cleanliness standards as set forth by the Store and Regional Manager
  • Assist Store Manager to ensure sales are generated while demonstrating and maintaining an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest service
  • Assist Store Manager in monitoring and controlling daily operational budgets, including payroll
  • Assist Store Manager in recruiting and maintaining a quality core staff
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new employees in POS, product knowledge, guest service, and sales
  • Assist Store Manager in communicating company values and goals to the employees
  • Lead inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals
  • Enforce company cash handling and other Loss Prevention policies and procedures
  • Remain current on new industry products and trends; demonstrate knowledge of products
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1 year of retail experience required, snow sports retail experience
  • 1 year of management experience
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; stores are open 7 days a week and hours vary depending upon location, season, and type of store
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems
