Job Summary:

Beaver Creek Sports, located in our village, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with high-end ski brands and providing exceptional customer service to every guest.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in leading a team of 10-12 employees, handling daily sales, rentals, operational, and merchandising functions to achieve maximum profitability, efficiency, and a best-in-class guest experience.
  • Process store sales accurately and efficiently through the use of a cash register.
  • Generate sales by establishing professional and personalized rapport with customers and delivering outstanding guest service.
  • Maintain and model high retail, merchandising, and cleanliness standards as set forth by the Store and Regional Manager.
  • Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and controlling daily operational budgets, including payroll.
  • Recruit and maintain a quality core staff, and assist in onboarding and training new employees in POS, product knowledge, guest service, and sales.
  • Lead inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals.
  • Enforce company cash handling and other Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Remain current on new industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • 1 year of retail experience required, with snow sports retail experience preferred.
  • 1 year of management experience.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, with stores open 7 days a week and hours varying depending on location, season, and type of store.
