Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of healthcare underwriting principles, practices, and industry trends.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and make informed underwriting decisions to ensure accurate pricing and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including claims, actuarial, and business development, to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships, while identifying and developing new relationships with retail and wholesale partners.
- Drive effective relationship management and customer activities to build trust, facilitate negotiation, and secure commitment with customers.
- Proactively identify cross-sell opportunities and partner with other underwriters to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions for customers.
- Minimum of 7 years of healthcare professional underwriting experience.
- Established relationships with retail and wholesale brokers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
