Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Territory Sales Executive (TSE) will cultivate and enhance distributor partnerships, empower and inspire distributor representatives to secure new distribution channels, increase sales volume in established accounts, and implement strategies at the chain level within a designated territory. The ideal candidate is a results-driven, revenue-oriented professional capable of swiftly establishing connections to foster a growth-centric sales approach. This role involves overseeing distributor and Bottler performance within the assigned Coca Cola Operating Unit region and ensuring the company's success in that area through proficient distributor management, effective market execution, and the development of robust relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to adhering to the expected standards of conduct for all Company personnel, the TSE's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Proactively identifying, targeting, and sampling both existing and prospective accounts, individually and collaboratively with distributors, to optimize shelf space and product offerings within the assigned territory.
  2. Training distributor sales representatives and newly onboarded TSE personnel on product knowledge, Company sales methodologies, procedures, and current promotions as needed.
  3. Regularly attending distributor meetings to maintain alignment and collaboration.
  4. Ensuring that distributor merchandising teams adequately service accounts based on sales performance and shelf/floor space secured by the TSE.
  5. Maximizing the sale and distribution of all company products in the designated region through the effective execution of local and national sales initiatives.
  6. Coordinating marketing crew drive activities across various locations within and outside the assigned territory.
  7. Providing timely reports on daily sales activities and outcomes as required by the Company, along with necessary documentation to support sales and bonus program objectives.
  8. Developing, managing, and/or enhancing partnerships to drive improved performance using objective tools, information, and feedback to establish regional and area performance goals.
  9. Ensuring the Sales Team comprehends and adheres to Company standards and operational procedures.
  10. Implementing a sales strategy to target key markets and establish a strong presence in the Territory; executing promotional programs and activities with key partners.
  11. Arranging for regular vehicle maintenance and maintaining records of that maintenance, ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and organized to uphold a professional image for the product and Company.
  12. Managing sales forecasts and budgets to achieve established goals for profitable growth within the assigned Operating Unit.
  13. Timely management of sales reporting obligations, including frequent sales updates and pricing surveys.
  14. Establishing and maintaining direct communication with all levels of the assigned distributor(s), including sales, merchandising, distribution/drivers, cooler services, and administration.
  15. Fully comprehending and utilizing all MEC tools and capabilities to maximize productivity and results in the assigned market.
  16. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Sales experience and/or a willingness to engage in sales training.

Basic computer skills in and outside of an office environment, including handheld devices.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.

Capability to drive and maintain a Company vehicle and travel within assigned territories, with occasional travel outside the designated area as required.

Must be at least 21 years of age and maintain an acceptable driving record to be covered by the Company's insurance.

Excellent time management, prioritization, and expense management skills.

Ability to perform physical activities associated with job duties, including occasionally lifting and moving up to 65 pounds independently and greater weights with assistance; ability to bend, stretch, stoop, climb, and perform other physical tasks related to selling, demonstrating, and marketing products in the assigned territory.

Flexibility to travel as necessary.

Proven knowledge of wholesalers, distributors, and retail customers; ability to build strong relationships and credibility with customers and wholesalers; capability to collaborate at all levels.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management, prioritization, and expense management abilities.
