Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of the operations team at a renowned specialty transportation firm, the Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing a diverse range of services, including Rigging, Millwright operations, Crating & Packaging, Industrial Storage, and Heavy Haul Trucking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse environment.
  • Manage the storage and oversight of heavy machinery, equipment, and materials essential for high-rise construction.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols while fostering collaboration across various teams.
  • Establish warehouse and team objectives in alignment with executive management.
  • Identify and drive improvements in inventory management and operational procedures.
  • Supervise the processes of receiving, storing, and dispatching equipment and materials.
  • Develop and enforce inventory management strategies to maximize space and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics to guarantee timely material delivery.
  • Address conflicting priorities and ensure projects are completed successfully.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to sustain operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices for handling and storing machinery and delicate materials.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure material delivery aligns with project requirements.
  • Monitor operations in real-time, swiftly resolving issues to maintain service quality.
  • Assess labor and output needs in collaboration with management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Document safety inspection activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and provide necessary training and support to staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and warehouse activities, generating reports on key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, construction, or manufacturing.
  • Strong grasp of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software.
  • Experience with heavy machinery and construction materials.
  • Certification in forklift operation and familiarity with handling delicate materials.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
